Wigwam was one of the first of the Colinette range of yarns that we ever worked with - and we're still wearing that garment today. Over a decade on, this yarn has proven it wash & wear capabilities, and the Wigwam yarn looks as fresh as the day it was knitted!
Wigwam is a tubular knitted 100% pure cotton tape, around the thickness of a typical Australian 12ply. There's 130m in each 100g hank, and it can be knitted on 5.5mm needles to achieve a tension of 18sts and 25 rows. It's a really great yarn that will carry you across the seasons, and Colinette has recently introduced a brand new pattern book - Stella - dedicated to this cotton tape. Cover knit takes 4 - 5 hanks, and a semi fitted long sleeve jumper or cardi uses 7 hanks (97cm/38in bust).
